The Oddysey Program presenters are passionate about their role and work hard to stay educated and enthusiastic about the welfare of adolescent boys.
Bachelor of Social Work; Masters in Social Science (Counselling).
“My goal is to offer engaging, informative and empowering workshops that assist boys to challenge the social construction of masculinity and transform it into a new, positive definition of who they really are and who they want to be. I believe it is paramount that we offer boys an alternative and assist them in being responsible and healthy world citizens.”
Jane has created The Odyssey Program because she believes that today’s education of our boys is primarily directed towards their academic and sporting capabilities, and little attention is paid to their emotional domain.
The program was developed to fill this void and is unique in its choice of contemporary topics, delivery style, student involvement, and its focus on teaching transferable life skills.
Jane also has her own private practice in counselling and is the Program Manager in SA for Enlighten Education which offers similar programs for girls.
She is the mother of two boys and is passionate about working with young people to help them to navigate through this tumultuous time.
She also holds a recent National Police Clearance. She invites you to contact her to discuss the needs of your boys and your school.

James graduated high school in the year 2000. He began studies in paleontology at Monash University - following a lifelong interest in the subject. After several years, James had the chance to travel to Argentina, to explore paleontology in the field in the wilds of Patagonia.
He ended up living and traveling for a year in South America, where he learned Spanish, and also learned something about the common difficulties involved in living as healthy human beings, regardless of economic or cultural differences.
This prompted him to shift his focus, and upon returning to Australia he began studying psychology at university.
When another opportunity to travel arose, this time to England, to study hypnotherapy at one of the world's leading institutes, James took it. He earned his diplomas, returned to Australia, and opened a complementary health centre in Melbourne, where he now works as the centre's manager and clinical hypnotherapist.
In his personal life, James enjoys keeping fit and healthy and exploring the world and himself through the non-competitive practice of Parkour (a French-born method of movement aimed at traversing the landscape quickly and efficiently with only the use of one's hands and feet) and Togakure-ryu Ninpo Taijutsu (a centuries-old Japanese martial art).
James likes reading books on philosophy, psychology and world spiritualities. He enjoys spending time meditating, watching movies with close friends and walking his two dogs through bushland alongside his local river.
James is passionate about his involvement with the Odyssey Program.
He is excited to be part of something that he believes will make a real difference in the lives of many; he believes that every positive message he conveys is like throwing a pebble into a lake - who knows how far the ripples will spread!
